ENGADINE UPSTAIRS BOOKS

This is a lovely place to lazily while away a couple of hours. Established for more than two decades, Engadine Upstairs Books has a reputation for quality second-hand books at budget prices. Set above a small set of shops in the Sutherland Shire, it holds more than 25,000 titles. On our latest visit we spotted a great selection of children’s books and a wonderful range of classics, biographies, thrillers, business, travel, horror, craft and sci-fi titles. There were also romance novels, including an enormous range of Mills & Boon, which can be quite hard to track down these days, including first editions. We also saw a great range of vinyl records from $2.20. The owner, Laura, is always happy to help. The exchange program offers further considerable savings. If you bring a book back after you’ve read it, you get a credit for half the price of the book to put towards your next purchase. Check out the shop’s eBay store for great deals online.
