Shop owner Kay specialises in stocking things you thought you’d never find at prices you thought you’d never see. Choose from a variety of homespun colours for $6 per metre, more than 2000 other prints from $6.60, and more than 180 novelty print fabrics. Most patchwork fabrics are only $8 per metre (often more than $25 in other shops). Kay’s bargain secret is to buy end-of-line stock in bulk, which helps keeps prices low. Any seconds or slightly imperfect stock is identified as such and priced accordingly. Discounts on books and patterns could have you saving up to 75 per cent off retail prices.
