Browse emerging designer fashion as you strut the red carpet at this Bondi Beach concept store. Set in a warehouse-style space lined with stalls by up-and-coming Sydney designers, Fashion Avenue Warehouse is a refreshingly cool place to shop for cutting-edge fashion. It’s chicer than a market, but prices are less daunting than established designer stores. More than 20 young designers have their wares on show, offering ladies’ and men’s fashion, suits, accessories, day wear, beach wear, shoes and furniture. Labels — that you may not recognise now, but will in a year or two — include Lulu Loves Paris, Amy Taylor and Shawshank Clothing. Men can be fitted for tailored suits and women’s label Mikayla Ja (bridal and ready-to-wear) will also create made-to-measure one-off pieces. Prices range from $20 up to $500, but the future value of these soon-to-be big-name pieces is beyond that. A resident spray-tan service ($35 a pop) and makeup stand make this a one-stop shop before a night out.
