Pitt Trading purchases excess fabrics and trims from clothing manufacturers and designers and enjoys quick turnover of the latest fabrics, so there’s always something new on offer. The store specialises in designer fabrics, silks (from $10 per metre), hand-painted laces (from $4 per metre) and has the biggest range of trims in Sydney. When we visited, various fabric remnants, laces, braids and lace motifs were priced from $1 per metre. A huge assortment of buttons is available starting at 10¢ each. But what we love most about Pitt Trading is the gorgeous selection of vintage materials and accessories including handbags, gloves, costume jewellery and linens.
