Well-known for all things poultry, Baiada’s retail shop offers excellent savings on first-quality excess stock and between 20 and 40 per cent off chicken seconds (chicken that has been crookedly cut or unevenly coated with breadcrumbs etc). All produce here is fresh, but frozen items can also be purchased if pre-ordered. Some of the amazing specials we saw on our last visit in the cook–and-serve range included two trays of 20-piece kebabs for $35 and a bag of six chicken breast schnitzels for $11.50. We also spotted size 16 whole chickens at five for $30! For fast, tasty and affordable meals and snacks, try the crumbed chicken burgers (20 pieces for $19) or the sweet chilli tender bites at 2kg for $2! You can also find quail and spatchcock here, as well as cooking products (marinades, enhancers, spices) and both caged and free-range eggs (grab three dozen eggs for $5!).
