At Budget Eyewear’s Sydney City store, you don’t need to spend a fortune to get an affordable pair of designer glasses — big-name brand frames start at 20 per cent less than normal retail prices. Brands include Jag, Gucci, Moschino, Vogue, Ted Baker and Avanti. But it’s not just the designer ranges where savings can be had — everything in store is reduced and comprises current stock, with the occasional discontinued line number popping up. Prices range from $70 to $350 and, at our most recent check-in, Budget Eyewear had an ongoing promotion offering complete single-vision prescription glasses for just $149 — an even better price than previous years. Avanti frames were priced from just $89. Direct billing to health funds for eligible members is also available. Bulk-billed eye tests can be arranged and goods can be posted to all areas.
