“Industrie clearance” is music to any man’s ears, because it means quality (not to mention hot!) clothing at 30 to 50 per cent off rrp. There are two clearance stores to choose from, but the Stanmore outlet stocks more samples and seconds, which come with the biggest savings. In the samples section, you’ll find singlets from $5, shirts from $10, shorts from $30 and jackets from $50 (rrp between $130 and $180). Sample jeans are $50 and go up to $80 for past-season styles (rrp $110 to $120). The sample size is usually 34 waist and large in tops, although they do vary. Sizes in other stock range from S to XXL. Past-season clothing makes up the muscles of the store. When we dropped in, business and casual shirts were from $30. Trendy dads will want to check out the kids’ range (and some women’s clothing) upstairs at the Stanmore shop, where nothing is full price. Kids’ sizes range from 00 to 16.
