Also subsidised by the University of Technology Sydney, The Chinese Herbal Medicine Clinic provides consultations for minimal fees. Students conduct consultation sessions as part of their training, with supervision and qualified practitioner consultations also available. A session with a student is free and raw herbs cost just $9 a packet, or a consultation with a practitioner is only $10 plus the cost of herbs. The clinic is well-stocked with more than 450 raw herbs, as well as powdered herbs. Herbs cost 50c per gram, or $10 for patent herbs and pills. Chinese remedial massage is also offered every Thursday for $30 to the public and $25 for students and concessions for a half-hour session. It’s easy to get to from Central station, so you needn’t worry about dealing with Sydney traffic stress!
