If you don’t already have a designer shoe fetish, you will after visiting Pelle, Sydney’s only recycled designer shoe shop. It has been around for 15 years and provides exquisitely up-market labels at outstanding prices, from vintage shoes from the 1950s through to gorgeous contemporary styles. International labels usually in stock include Christian Louboutin, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Chloe, Manolo Blahnik, Gucci and many more. Sizes for women range from 5 to 11 (35 to 42). When we dropped by, we saw a pair of pale-blue, silver-studded zip-up heels by Givenchy (which appeared in the latest Grazia magazine) for $1200 (rrp $2000). Pelle also sells fragrances — hardly used — for half the retail price. We spied bottles of Jo Malone, Chanel, Guerre Liban and many more. Unique accessories and jewellery are a highlight here, with pieces such as a Tiffany & Co silver mesh scarf (rrp $3200, selling for $1800) vying for your attention.
